Funding from the
- Children with Disabilities
More than$3 million in funding was awarded in new and multi-year grants to organizations that support programs designed to help improve the quality of life for children with disabilities. The grants will support services and programs such as screenings, testing, early intervention, tracking developmental milestones, promoting inclusion, communication devices, recreation and fitness, legal advocacy, innovation, and parental education. - Uninsured and Underserved
Programs which provide communities greater access to health care and medical services and underserved populations were another focus area of funding. New grants totaling approximately$1.3 million will finance a wide range of initiatives and programs, including purchasing new information technology systems, focusing on improved patient care, disease control and management, mobile health clinics, and school-based clinics.
