Inclusion Model

guadalupe-reyesGrounded in the spirit of its founder, the late Mrs. Guadalupe Reyes, El Valor strives to build a community of acceptance and diversity, in which individuals with special needs are accepted, valued, and granted opportunities. El Valor continues to be a leader in supporting an inclusive model of early childhood care, providing services to children with special needs within both our center based and home visiting programs. All of our classrooms are inclusive, with teachers who support all children of various learning styles and needs. We partner with Chicago Public Schools and Early Intervention to ensure all children receive the therapeutic services necessary for their success. Within the classroom, teachers also work with the child’s IEP or IFSP plan to ensure that accommodations and modifications are provided to children who benefit from an individualized learning approach. Teachers also have the assistance of paraprofessionals, educators who are trained in providing specialized support to children who have special needs.
