Abilities Habilidades Expo 2016

In partnership with Gigi’s Playhouse Chicago, El Valor co-hosted Chicago’s first Spanish-language fair for children with disabilities and their families. Exhibitors included the Chicago Park District, Autism Speaks, Chicago YWCA, Special Olympics Chicago, Epilepsy Foundation, Mount Sinai Health, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Girl Scouts of America, Ronald McDonald House of Northern Illinois, Misericoridia, PACE/RTA, Chicago Public Library, The National Museum of Mexican Art, and more.

A special thank you is owed to the vision and leadership of Nancy Andrade!

The event took place at the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. Dozens of families came to the expo to learn more about what services are available to improve their quality of life and the health of their child. We look forward to growing this event in the future and reaching even more families in need.
