Family Events

El Valor realizes that parents are the children’s first and primary teachers and we encourage participation in the everyday center routines as well as additional family events we host throughout the school year.  These events include but are not limited to:

• Mother’s School Readiness Conference
• Father and Male role model conference
• Recruitment efforts, such as Neighborhood Parades, Harvest Fest, Winter Fest
  • Families join us with Recruiting at parades
  • Different rooms are set up to participate as a family, from literacy to face painting
• Partnering with Families event
  • Sharing different cultures and traditions in the classroom
• Week of the Young Child
  • Spring Nature parade – Parents make the children’s costumes
  • Parent Play – Parents perform a play for the children
• Family Fun Walk
  • Families brought together to share family time and think about health with a health fair and 3K walk around the neighborhood
