El Valor is excited to honor Mr. Matthew Turk, President of INTREN, with the El Valor Champion Award this year at our Don Quixote Virtual Event. Matthew has been with INTREN for more than 30 years, starting as the company’s first Safety Coordinator, then moving to Operations Director in the late 90s, and now recently promoted to President. Matthew earned his B.A. from the University of Dayton, his M.A. from the Catholic University of America and his C.B.A. from University of Illinois School of Business. In 2017 he became a Trustee for the American Line Builders Chapter of NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association). Matthew has been married for 36 years to Sheri and was blessed with two sons, Joshua and Benjamin who is married to Heather.

Matthew is very active in his community, and has been a long term supporter of El Valor both personally and in his role at INTREN. Throughout the years Matthew has consistently represented the values of El Valor and truly supported its mission of inclusion and high quality education. He also co-chaired El Valor’s Golf Outing Fundraising Committee for several years, and actively participates in all of El Valor’s events. Matthew is also a board member for Light of the World Evangelization Ministries and a Eucharistic Minister, serving the assisted living in his community.
